Additional Associations (Identification)

  • This field contains information on associations between objects.

Entry rules:

  1. The Additional Associations field is particularly useful when information is entered clearly, concisely and consistently.
  2. When you want to indicate that an object belongs to a group, simply enter the accession number of the first and last objects in the group in the Additional Associations field. Enter the first accession number, a space, "to", another space and the final accession number.
    Example 1

    A perfume burner that is part of a set comprising the burner (1992.1.1) and the perfume container (1992.1.2)

    The thirty-fourth acquisition of 1992 is a lot consisting of sixty-eight objects. The last record in the lot is a mortar.

  3. When you want to indicate another kind of association, enter a description and the accession numbers of the associated objects.

    Record for a gold Phoenician mask for which you want to make a link with another mask of the same culture
