Les guides électroniques de la SMQ

To do a search on Info-Muse Network Documentation Guide's Web pages, enter the keyword or the keywords that you're looking for, each separated by a space. Do not use stop words (e.g. the, a, an, of, etc.) because the search engine will show all the documents containing these words. By using keywords only, the search engine will show a list of all the texts containing them, with the excerpt where they appear.

A search on "specializes Web design" will show all the documents containing the words "specializes", "Web"and "design".
A search on "specializes in Web design" will show all the documents containing the words "specializes", "in", "Web" and "design".

Hyphens and apostrophes
You can use the hyphen or the apostrophe in your search string. The search engine merges all the words in which a hyphen or an apostrophe appears.

"back-office" is interpreted as "back" and "office".

Boolean expressions
A boolean expression is built with the English operators AND, OR and NOT. The operator NOT is interpreted as "to the exclusion of ".

Search "programming NOT layout'', or search "programming AND PHP", or search "security OR cryptography NOT ( training AND course)", etc.

Please note

  • The search engine doesn't allow you, as yet, to find an exact expression such as "specializes in Web design'' but will find all texts containing all these words.
  • The search engine is case insensitive. It will respond the same way to either lower or upper case.
  • Use meaningful words. The more keywords you include, the more precise your results.
  • The Info-Muse Network Documentation Guide search engine (a link found on all pages of the site), indexes the documents that are available on-line from this site. © Société des musées du Québec
