Presentation

A place of history and ethnology, the Acadian Museum of Quebec highlights the rich cultural heritage of the Acadians who chose Quebec as their land of refuge. Located in Bonaventure, a village founded in 1760 by Acadians who fled deportation, our museum offers an essential cultural outing in Gaspésie, providing both an immersion in history and a variety of educational activities that encourage the discovery of this rich heritage.

Things to see and experience: exhibitions, gift shops, panoramic view, cultural activities, and events.

Let us tell you the epic journey of the Acadian people so you can truly appreciate their contribution and influence on Quebec's land. Did you know? One million Quebecers are of Acadian origin, and nearly three million citizens have an Acadian ancestor!
